Kinship caregivers are relatives or close friends of families whose children get removed by Child Protective Services. They have little to no warning, training, or support from the government as they welcome a child or sibling group into their home.
Kinship Connection aims to provide these caregivers with direct services and tangible essentials so they can confidently care for children long-term. In addition to receiving items through The Closet, we seek to know kinship caregivers deeply to provide them with training, support groups, and mental health services.
